Good Reasons To Have Lake Aeration Systems

Putting in place pond or lake aeration systems will allow for the balancing of the level of dissolved oxygen and the water column temperature.  During the long warm days or months, there could be a massive algae growth in the water of ponds or lakes that are part of the landscape feature of many properties. The presence of Living Water Aeration system is the solution that will prevent these organism to grow and spread rapidly.

When the condition of the water deteriorate, this will turn into dark, hazy, and foul smelling because of emission of anaerobic gas. Also, problems on health and the environment could also come up like for example fishes and other living things in the water will start to die. For this reason, there is really a need for a regular and good circulation in a property landscape that features a pond or lake.

Notwithstanding the fact that the signs of little oxygen are shown in the foul water smell, presence of muck and algae, and the overall bad state of the water, the real concern is with nutrients in high amount and low level of dissolved oxygen. Though using chemicals like copper sulfate could be a remedy in getting rid of the algae, this solution does not go into the root of the problem. In fact the problem could worsen in the long run thus the real answer would be using pond or lake aeration system.

At the basic level, aeration does not kill algae but rather make the water condition not ideal for such organism to grow and thrive. When the level of dissolved oxygen is  at the ideal point, bacteria could grow and spread. The presence of these bacteria will deprive the algae of the nutrient they need to grow since the bacteria will eat those in a quicker rate. In addition fishes will have a source of food in the form of these bacteria making pond or lake aeration system truly useful.

It is important to point out that the purpose of a Living Water Aeration system is not confined to circulating air in the water only. Other uses include undoing thermal stratification through the circulation of the whole water column daily for a number of instances. Said process is very essential since it will serve as the hurdle for both water treatment and water environment. The effort to regulate and normalize the levels of dissolved oxygen and temperature according to the ideal standards will create a perfect environment for bacteria to thrive as well as give other water life forms a wider environment.

Pond or lake aeration systems, if installed accordingly, will prevent foul smell developing on the water as well as give fishes an ideal environment to live.
